    Product details

    Background & context

Konflikt '47 is set in a Second World War that does not end in 1945: Rift technology has fanned the war back into flame, and each side is chasing the other's wonder weapon. When the Western Allies send their first two-legged walkers into the field, the Soviet science cities follow suit. The Molot is their answer to the heavy losses of its predecessor, the Kazak: armour instead of finesse, and so thick that the legs had to grow with it and speed became an afterthought.

    On the tabletop

The DM-40 Molot is the Soviet Bloc medium walker in Konflikt '47 and a development of the Kazak. Instead of agility it relies on very thick frontal armour that keeps out all but the heaviest hits. Its anti-tank gun lets it take on enemy two-legged walkers. Because it is slow, advance it head-on and cover its flanks with infantry. Its weapon mounts can also take Zvukovoy weapons, and a Soviet vehicle decal sheet is included.
