    Background & context

In the Konflikt '47 timeline both Axis powers resort to means that nobody else would dream up. While Germany raises its Totenkorps, Japan goes its own way: the fallen are reactivated and sent back into the fight, without supplies, without fear, without retreat. In the humid heat of the Pacific islands, though, such a body does not last long, and the squads fall apart in the middle of an action. Especially bitter for the Allies: many Shibito wear the faces of men who only shortly before were still fighting against the Empire.

    On the tabletop

Ten Shibito represent the undead soldiers of the Japanese Empire in Konflikt '47, comparable to the Axis Totenkorps. They know no fear, need neither food, water nor ammunition, and fight until they collapse. On the Pacific battlefields you use them against American and Commonwealth troops, including behind their lines where they spread terror. In the humid heat they decay quickly, and they are often raised from the Empire's fallen enemies.
