Product details

Background & context

Konflikt '47 extends the Second World War beyond 1945. Instead of a surrender, 1947 sees armies facing each other that fight with walkers, heavy armour and the output of the laboratories. In this setting the Empire of Japan is a warring party in its own right, with its own equipment and its own elite troops. The Ghost Attack Squads are there for the covert advance: kept small and designed for the short, decisive blow.

On the tabletop

In Konflikt '47 a field device briefly shifts the men of this Japanese squad out of step with the world around them. They seem to appear from the shadows, attack from unexpected directions or through the heaviest terrain and then vanish again. With their Shiboru compression rifles they lay down heavy fire from ambush, and pursuit gets the enemy almost nowhere. Send them against flanks and rear areas while the rest of your infantry attacks from the front.
