Hintergrund & Einordnung

In the '47 conflict universe, the Japanese army leadership quickly realized that the new Battle Frame exoskeleton units needed specialized leadership: veteran officers were trained in the use of the complex exoskeletons and took command of entire Battle Frame platoons and companies. The officers wear the same frame suits as their men but are configured for command and coordination. Japanese officers are famous for leading "Banzai!" charges on the front lines - in a Battle Frame, this tradition becomes even deadlier: combining mobility and protection with the morale effect of an officer leading his troops into the fray. The officer can be deployed both as a stormtrooper leader - to overrun fortified positions - and to flank slower enemy units.

The Japanese Battle-Frame Infantry Officer is the HQ choice for Japanese Battle-Frame lists. The set contains the Officer plus 2 escorts/radio operators. In the game, the Officer leads Battle-Frame squads with special rules for power frame armor and HQ bonuses. The radio operator escorts allow extended Order Dice use and coordinate the different Battle-Frame variants (Assault, AT, Officer). A mandatory HQ in Battle-Frame-focused Japanese lists.
