Product details

Background & context

When the exoskeletons moved from trials into production, the Imperial Army faced a problem of hierarchy: a platoon in Battle Frames cannot be led by an officer following behind on foot. So veterans with front-line experience were retrained on the suits, men with a record whose soldiers follow them without question. The officer's helmet still carries the traditional crest, so that in the melee it stays clear who is leading from the front.

On the tabletop

So that battle-frame platoons are not led by an officer on foot, the Japanese army retrained veteran officers in the exoskeletons. In Konflikt '47 this officer with sword and pistol leads your battle-frame units, supported by two companions in exoskeletons. Whether the force storms a position or swings round the flank of slower formations, he keeps pace with it. His men respect him for his proven record at the front.
