    Description

With access to the bulk of Axis Rift Tech development, Japanese scientists were able to make significant advancements in exoskeletons to augment the fighting soldier’s endurance and speed. This rapidly led to complete battle frame units - tactically flexible for use as assault troops to overwhelm defensive positions or to outflank slower formations.

    Product details

    Background & context

In the '47-Universe conflict, Japan's Rift-tech strategy differed significantly from the other major powers: Instead of individual DNA enhancements or fanatical shock troops, the Empire relies on hardware - precisely engineered Battle Frame exoskeletons that transform the average IJA soldier into heavy infantry. With access to the bulk of Axis Rift-tech research, Japanese engineers were quickly able to forge their own path: Battle Frames are designed for extended operations and complement the fanatical discipline of Japanese soldiers with heavy weaponry and protective armor. They are deployed both as assault troops to overwhelm enemy positions and to flank static or slower-moving units. Squad armament typically includes a mixture of Compression Rifles, light MGs, and shock weaponry - perfect for the multitude of tasks presented by the ongoing Pacific Campaign.

    On the tabletop

Since mid-1946 the Japanese army has fielded armoured exoskeletons, the battle frames, in Konflikt '47. The ten figures are enough for two units that you can arm differently. Submachine guns suit close range, Shiboru rifles longer distances, light machine guns add extra firepower and the Japanese version of the Panzerschreck deals with vehicles. Because the suit carries heavy loads, such squads bring more weapons than ordinary infantry.
