    Background & context

    On the tabletop

Three Icelandic Vikings in metal add to an existing Viking unit in Hail Caesar or form the start of a small war band. On Iceland, settled from 870 and without a king for a long time, the fighting was not done by royal armies but by men of feuding farmsteads. That suits small actions in which you field only a few figures per side. In a larger unit, the three make sure not every warrior looks the same.
