Product details

Background & context

On the Eastern Front, Hungarian formations faced an opponent whose armour grew thicker year after year. The Panzerschreck with its 88mm shaped-charge rocket therefore reached the troops in growing numbers and was effective against everything except the heaviest Soviet types. Alongside it the Swiss Solothurn stayed in service, half anti-tank rifle, half light cannon, with a magazine and a small wheeled mount. Flamethrowers were part of any assault on fortifications anyway and, in an emergency, were turned on tanks as well.

On the tabletop

Two anti-tank teams and a flamethrower give your Hungarian platoon in Bolt Action answers to vehicles and fortifications. The Panzerschreck's 88 mm shaped-charge rocket can penetrate all but the heaviest Soviet tanks. The Solothurn, with its magazine and light wheeled carriage, fires up to 20 rounds a minute at lighter vehicles. You send the flamethrower against buildings and field positions, and in an emergency even against tanks.
