Product details

Background & context

Hungary noticeably modernised its army in the years before the war and so became one of Germany's more important partners. The officer corps benefited from solid inter-war training, which many commanders had completed while it was still peacetime. In appearance the troops kept an identity of their own: the cut of the uniform, the headgear and the equipment clearly set Hungarian officers apart from their German or Italian counterparts.

On the tabletop

Hungary's army was a crucial ally of Germany and had modernised extensively before the war. Many of its officers had gone through a thorough military education in peacetime. In Bolt Action each of the four figures leads a different platoon: rifle, recce, heavy weapons or artillery. Uniform cut, headgear and equipment are distinctly Hungarian, so your officers stand apart from German or Italian figures.
