    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Hungarian border guards were a specialized formation originally established for monitoring national borders in peacetime. In the event of war, these units were tasked with securing strategically important mountain passes and difficult-to-access border sections. For this purpose, they were equipped with comparatively dense firepower that far exceeded that of regular infantry units. As part of the Hungarian armed forces, they operated alongside the Axis powers, undertaking tasks that required both resilience and local topographical knowledge.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    On the tabletop, Hungarian Border Guards are particularly well-suited for defensive scenarios, where the goal is to hold chokepoints or slow down the enemy's advance.
