Product details

Background & context

When the Axis refined its means of dealing with walking machines, the light Guardian was quickly out of its depth in house-to-house fighting. The Commonwealth could have adopted the American Kodiak but opted for a design of its own. Even so, nobody has failed to notice how close the Hornet's chassis is to the US Grizzly. Larger and more heavily armoured than the Guardian, it covers infantry support and engineering work and leaves anti-tank duties to others.

On the tabletop

The Hornet is the Commonwealth medium walker in Konflikt '47 for infantry support and engineering work. Its quad HMGs and heavy automatic cannon suppress dug-in infantry and vehicles. With its utility arms it clears obstacles, builds improvised defences and rips open light vehicles. It has no dedicated anti-armour weapon, so you pair it with a Percival to deal with armoured targets. Larger and better armoured than the Guardian, it takes over from it in street fighting.
