Beschreibung

The Hornet is the British Commonwealth's medium walker - developed in response to improved Axis anti-walker techniques and significantly larger and better armoured than its predecessor, the Guardian. The Hornet shares its chassis with the American Grizzly, but brings its own armament: quad HMGs, a heavy autocannon and utility arms make it a versatile support unit for infantry and mixed forces.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

As the light Guardian Walker struggled increasingly against improved Axis anti-Walker tactics, the British Commonwealth sought a modern successor. Rather than adopting the American Kodiak, the British developed the Hornet-visually and structurally closely aligned with the US Grizzly, but with its own armament concept. The Hornet is significantly larger and better armored than the Guardian and combines firepower against infantry with the ability to construct improvised fortifications or destroy light vehicles in close combat. As it does not carry dedicated anti-tank weaponry, it typically operates in conjunction with the Percival Walker.

Hornet Medium Walker is a Conflict '47 walker for The British Commonwealth faction with anti-aircraft or autocannon functionality. On the tabletop, it covers advance routes, protects other walkers, and lays down strong automatic fire on light targets.
