Product details

Background & context

Carthage was one of the most important military powers of antiquity in the Western Mediterranean, fielding multinational armies comprised of citizen troops, mercenaries, allies, and cavalry units. The Punic Wars against Rome, in particular, are closely associated with Carthaginian generals like Hannibal. In Hail Caesar Epic Battles, these armies are depicted in large-scale engagements. The tokens are suitable for Carthaginian forces and make their losses visible during the game.

On the tabletop

Carthage's army was drawn from many peoples, and the 18 casualty markers in Warlord Resin are just as varied. In Hail Caesar place them in front of any Punic unit that has suffered losses. In Hannibal's battles from Lake Trasimene through Cannae to Zama you keep track of how far a unit has already been weakened.
