Product details

Background & context

The Guardian is Lend-Lease policy in sheet metal: Churchill asked Roosevelt in person, and by the end of 1946 the first Coyotes stood in British depots. Many went to the front unaltered as the Mark I and did a decent job, only the armament was not up to the actual task, namely supporting infantry. A flamethrower in the left arm solved that without costing any mobility. Since then Mark I and Mark II have served side by side.

On the tabletop

The Guardian is the American Coyote in Commonwealth service and makes up the bulk of its light walkers in Konflikt '47. The first machines reached Britain in late 1946 and went into action unmodified as the Mark I. Because their armament fell short for supporting infantry, the Mark II received a flamethrower in the left arm. That lets it advance with your infantry squads and burn enemies out of cover and buildings. Mark I and Mark II serve side by side in the same units.
