    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

The 48 hoplites form the phalanx at the centre of your Greek army, shield to shield and several ranks deep. For the charge there are spears held overhead for thrusting, while upright spears let you rank the men up tightly. Linothorax, scale armour and four helmet styles cover the Persian Wars, the Peloponnesian War and the conflicts with Macedon. Add some Carthaginian heads and a few figures become Libyan spearmen.
