    Beschreibung

    3D-printed resin crew figures for German DAK trucks - in tropical uniform with characteristic desert equipment. Set 1 offers the first half of a complete vehicle crew for Rubicon and other 28mm trucks (e.g. Opel Blitz, Krupp-Protze, Mercedes L4500). Can be combined with Set 2 (Rubicon SKU 284134).

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The German Africa Korps was highly dependent on truck transport along its supply lines through North Africa - to an extent that chronically overtaxed the Wehrmacht logistically. The typical supply route stretched from Tripoli across Cyrenaica to the front at El Alamein - up to 2,000 kilometers through scorching desert, often with poor tracks and under constant threat from Allied air raids and desert commandos (Long Range Desert Group). The crews wore the characteristic DAK tropical uniform with pith helmets or field caps and battled against heat, sand, sandstorms, and the vast supply lines between Tripoli and the front section in Libya and Egypt. Typical trucks used by the DAK included the Opel Blitz, Mercedes-Benz L4500, Krupp-Protze, as well as numerous captured British vehicles.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    This DAK truck crew brings transport vehicles on the North African tabletop to life with an authentic crew. Ideal for Rubicon Opel Blitz, Büssing-NAG, and other truck models. On the tabletop, they give transport units the characteristic Afrika Korps look.
