Product details

Background & context

In the Conflict '47 universe, after years of defensive fighting in the East and withdrawal from France, the new masters of the Axis responded with an offensive strategy: they selected the best and brightest of the Volksgrenadiers and the Italian Legio Aquila to form the Heavy Squads - compact elite formations specialized in assault. Equipped with Heavy Powered Armour from the Dresden Rift-Tech Labs and advanced firearms, they form flexible units capable of both holding the front and leading counterattacks. They typically operate in conjunction with Panzer Regiments and StahlTruppen Super-Heavy Infantry, exploiting their breakthroughs to shatter enemy depth. The rules can be found on page 129 of the Conflict '47 rulebook.

On the tabletop

Eight Schwertruppen in heavy Rift armour form an Axis squad in Konflikt '47, selected from the best of the Volksgrenadiers and Italy's Legio Aquila. They shore up the front when things get tight and spearhead counter-attacks. Once tanks or Stahltruppen have torn a gap, you push through behind them and exploit the breakthrough. They can be led by an officer in the same armour from the Schwertruppen Officer pack.
