Description

The Empress Dragoons of the French Imperial Guard were among Napoleon's most exclusive cavalry units - only soldiers with at least ten years' riding experience and proven bravery were admitted to the regiment. All officers were personally appointed by Napoleon, and the unit preferred to recruit the best non-commissioned officers from Chasseur and Dragoon regiments. This set brings four bases of this elite cavalry as Warlord Resin miniatures for Epic Battles: Waterloo.

Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Named after the Empress Joséphine, the Empress Dragoons were an elite within the Imperial Guard. Napoleon appointed their officers personally, and they poached the best NCOs from the chasseur and dragoon regiments of the line. In 13.5 mm Waterloo games the four Warlord Resin bases add to your Guard cavalry, which you hold back as the last reserve. As former mounted infantry, dragoons also coped well with difficult ground.
