Product details

Background & context

From 1 to 3 July 1863 Lee's Army of Northern Virginia and Meade's Army of the Potomac met at Gettysburg, the costliest battle of the Civil War. The Seminary building west of the town served both sides in turn as an observation post and a hospital. On Cemetery Hill the XI Corps set up its headquarters in the gatehouse, because the height gave Union artillery a field of fire across the whole southern sector. It was in this cemetery that Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address in November 1863.

On the tabletop

These two MDF buildings make your Epic Battles table recognisable as Gettysburg. Place the seminary building on Seminary Ridge west of the town and the cemetery gatehouse on Cemetery Hill. Together they mark the heights fought over from 1 to 3 July 1863. In Black Powder Epic Battles they serve as objectives when you refight the battle.
