Product details

Background & context

The chariots of the New Egyptian Kingdom (1550-1077 BC) were considered the most potent weapon of the Bronze Age. Under warrior pharaohs such as Thutmose III and Ramesses II, these light, agile vehicles led the Egyptian armies on campaigns to Nubia, Canaan, and Syria.

On the tabletop

A driver and a fighter with a bow and short spears crew this two-horse Egyptian chariot. In Hail Caesar the light chariot relies on speed and shooting, while the spears can be thrown or used to stab at close quarters. You can pit it against the heavier three-man Hittite chariots, for example in a scenario based on Kadesh in 1274 BC. Combined with the other chariots of the range, it forms a chariot unit with varied poses.
