Product details

Background & context

The 18th, 19th, and 20th Dynasties constitute the epoch of the Egyptian New Kingdom (1550-1077 BC). During this period, warlike pharaohs led their forces on campaigns of conquest into Nubia in the south, as well as into Canaan, Amurru, and Syria in the north.

On the tabletop

In the New Kingdom, chariots led the Egyptian armies. This metal kit provides the chariot, its team and three crew figures; such a chariot carried a driver and a fighter armed with a bow and short spears. In Hail Caesar you combine several chariots into a fast unit that shoots at range and follows up with spears. Opponents are Nubians, Canaanites and Syrians from the pharaohs' campaigns between 1550 and 1077 BC.
