    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

Nubian javelinmen first put pressure on the enemy from a distance, but can also hold their own at close quarters. With small shields and hardly any armour, however, the eight metal figures should attack the flank or rear in Hail Caesar rather than the front. You field them in Nubian armies or as auxiliaries with an Egyptian army. From the Old Kingdom the pharaohs recruited warriors from Wawat and Kush, and in the New Kingdom they provided whole regiments.
