    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The early Levy Javelinmen represent the common auxiliaries of the Mesopotamian city-states in the 3rd millennium BC. As lightly armed men from Sumer and Syria, they carried javelins and spears and were simply dressed in kilts or tunics. In regular armies, they served as skirmishers; in nomadic groups, they formed the light core element of the Early and Middle Bronze Age. Their simplicity in equipment and clothing reflects the social strata of early Mesopotamian society.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    Early Levy Javelinmen in Hail Caesar are used as light infantry, skirmishers, or mobile close-combat support for Mesopotamian, Syrian, or Elamite Bronze Age city-state and palace armies. In the game, the unit disrupts enemy movement, occupies terrain, and protects heavier troops from flank attacks. They should utilize distance, cover, and mobility, and not engage heavy infantry in close formation on their own.
