Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Augustus created the Praetorian Guard as the emperor's bodyguard, and its mounted detachment escorted him on state occasions and on campaign. In Hail Caesar the three metal riders form a small guard unit or an escort for your general. As heavy cavalry you hold them back until a charge in close order can tip the balance. Under Trajan and Hadrian the detachment grew to around 2,000 riders, so combine several packs for a larger unit.
