    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

Emperor Marcus Aurelius leads your Imperial Romans in Hail Caesar as mounted commander-in-chief, ideally surrounded by his Praetorian Guard. He suits the Marcomannic Wars, which kept him in army camps on the Danube and Rhine for much of his reign from 161 to 180. There he wrote his Meditations. The figure shows him as an old, war-weary man, and the carefully sculpted horse deserves careful painting of its own.
