    Background & context

    On the tabletop

From the 42 hoplites you build one or more phalanx units in Hail Caesar for the Greek city states from the mid-6th to the 4th century BC. The five men in bronze armour and the 25 in linen armour belong in the front ranks, where the wealthiest stood, with the ten unarmoured men behind them. The piper and the command model lead the unit. You can also use them for Greek mercenaries fighting abroad.
