Product details

Background & context

Reinforced concrete tank obstacles, nicknamed dragon's teeth by the Allies, went up in several rows along the Westwall from 1938 and later along parts of the Atlantic Wall. Their staggered height was meant to stop a tank from simply climbing over: the hull grounded and the tracks lost their grip. On their own they stopped nobody; only with guns covering them did they become a trap. Long lines of them still stand in the Eifel today.

On the tabletop

In Bolt Action you can set the nine teeth out as one solid line or stagger them in two rows. Vehicles cannot pass and are forced into a detour that leads them in front of your anti-tank guns. Infantry can still slip between the blocks and use the concrete as cover. The obstacle works best at roads, bridges and village entrances where there is little room to go around.
