Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Two more armoured riders in metal reinforce a unit of Sarmatian cataphracts, such as the one from the box of eight figures. Their scale armour of iron, bronze or horn covers man and horse, and their main weapon is the kontos, a long spear held in both hands. The Sarmatians fought in large bodies, and this set lets you add figures to your unit in Hail Caesar. As allies of the Dacians they faced Rome on the Danube, and Trajan's Column shows them as an armoured mass.
