Product details

Background & context

British tank doctrine long distinguished between the fast Cruiser Tank, which was to exploit gaps, and the slow infantry tank, which accompanied the foot soldiers. The Cromwell, officially Tank Cruiser A27M, was the most mature expression of the first concept: over 50 km/h thanks to the Meteor engine, plus enough firepower for mobile engagements. Against the threats that followed the opening of the Rifts, however, the 75 mm gun was no longer enough. Re-arming it with a Tesla cannon keeps the proven chassis in the race.

On the tabletop

For the British Commonwealth in Konflikt '47 the Cromwell with Tesla cannon is a fast cruiser tank whose 75 mm gun no longer coped with the new threats and gave way to a Tesla weapon. You use it according to the old cavalry doctrine: move fast, exploit gaps and fight on the move, while slower infantry tanks accompany the troops directly. The kit consists of a plastic hull and a resin and metal turret.
