Product details

Background & context

Between the houses left standing, the destroyed cityscape mostly held expanses of rubble and half-height remains of walls. That was exactly where a large part of the close-quarters fighting took place: attackers worked their way forward across the rubble fields because the streets were dominated by machine guns. Clearance parties later pushed lanes through, but the ground remained confusing and barely passable for vehicles.

On the tabletop

The smallest kit in the City in Ruins range fills gaps between taller ruins with a single-storey heap of rubble and walls. Place figures in the open interior, where they shelter from fire coming from neighbouring houses. In street fighting, attackers worked their way forward across exactly this kind of rubble because machine guns covered the streets. It comes as laser-cut MDF with instructions.
