Product details

Background & context

After a bombing raid, often only the fire wall of a tenement remained standing while the rest collapsed into the cellar. In Caen, Aachen or Stalingrad such gables towered over the rubble for weeks and were used by both sides as observation posts and sniper nests. The module brings exactly this image of a half torn-away street front to the gaming table.

On the tabletop

These two surviving gable walls close off a row of houses so it does not simply end at the table edge. As tall walls they break sight lines, and their openings let you place figures behind or through them. In Bolt Action or Konflikt '47 you use them as cover or observation posts, just as such firewalls were used in Caen, Aachen and Stalingrad. The MDF kit belongs to the City in Ruins range.
