Product details

Background & context

Corner houses were the most sought-after addresses in urban combat. Whoever occupied the building at a crossroads dominated two street axes at once and could cut any advance to pieces from the flank. Defenders therefore set up MG nests and sniper posts in the upper storeys, while below engineers broke through walls to work their way forward from house to house. Such points regularly cost more casualties than the capture of an entire block.

On the tabletop

This four-storey corner house belongs at a crossroads. Whoever holds the upper floors controls two street axes and can fire into any advance from the flank. That makes it worth keeping infantry downstairs to guard the entrance, because that is exactly where the enemy will strike. The access points are designed so figures can stand inside, and the MDF kit can be extended with other pieces of the range into a full street corner.
