Product details

Background & context

The British Army went to war in 1939 as the only fully motorised force in Europe: small, professional and without a single horse team in its baggage train. In France the British Expeditionary Force met an opponent that made decisions faster than it did, and after the counter-attack at Arras it escaped across the beaches of Dunkirk. Almost all its heavy equipment was left behind. Yet the Matilda tanks that briefly caused panic at Arras already showed what could be built on later.

On the tabletop

These markers let you track the current state of your early-war British units in Flames of War. Eight of them show platoons that are pinned down or crews that have bailed out, four mark units that have gone to ground and four more represent foxholes. You also get two Ranged In markers for artillery, one each for anti-aircraft and the leader, and two objective markers.
