Product details

Background & context

In May 1940 the German formations rolled through the Ardennes and cut the British Expeditionary Force off from the rest of the front. Both sides were driving light machines at the time: the Czech Panzer 38(t), taken over by the Wehrmacht after the occupation, and the British Light Mk VI, a nimble reconnaissance tank with nothing but two machine guns. Where these two met, speed, terrain and nerve decided more than armour.

On the tabletop

Two Panzer 38(t) and three Light Mk VI are all you need here for a first game. Because the British carry only machine guns but come as a trio and are nimble, the British player looks for cover and the flank, while the German makes his guns tell at range. The English starter booklet Blitzkrieg explains the rules bit by bit while you are already playing, the two unit cards supply the stats, and a terrain sheet and six dice come with them. You download the full rulebook as a PDF in German, English or French as soon as you want to set up bigger battles.
