Background & context

Together with La Haie and Frischermont, Papelotte formed the far left end of Wellington's position. The farms were held by Nassauers, who lost ground to d'Erlon's formations and won it back again all day long. The sector mattered above all because the link with the approaching Prussian army was made there. Whoever held Papelotte kept the door open for Blücher's corps.

On the tabletop

The Papelotte farm complex stood at the far left end of Wellington's position at Waterloo. On your Epic Battles table you garrison it with Nassau troops while French forces assault it before the Prussians arrive. In Black Powder Epic Battles that gives the attacker a scenario against the clock. The laser-cut MDF kit anchors the flank and complements the other Waterloo buildings in the range.
