Background & context

Der Krieg zog quer durch bewohntes Land, und die Zivilbevölkerung war überall mit dabei - als Quartiergeber, Fuhrleute, Marktleute oder schlicht Zuschauer. Mary Ludwig Hays, überliefert unter dem Spitznamen Molly Pitcher, nahm in der Schlacht von Monmouth im Juni 1778 den Platz ihres gefallenen Mannes am Geschütz ein und wurde zur bekanntesten Frauenfigur dieses Krieges. Städte wie Boston, Philadelphia und Charleston wechselten mehrfach den Besitzer, ihre Bewohner blieben.

On the tabletop

These six civilians populate your American War of Independence battlefields in Epic Battles and Black Powder, including Molly Pitcher with a rammer and a mother with two children. Place them in villages and towns, on your command bases or use them as scenario figures that have to be evacuated or protected. You can put Molly Pitcher beside a gun, just as Mary Ludwig Hays took her fallen husband's place at Monmouth in 1778. All figures are resin.
