    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    During the American War of Independence, German principalities provided troop contingents to the British Crown in exchange for subsidies - the largest of these groups came from Hesse-Kassel. These auxiliary troops fought as trained professional soldiers alongside the Redcoats and significantly shaped the face of British warfare in North America. In addition to regular infantry and the Jägers, who specialized in forest combat, the British also utilized the support of indigenous allies. The legendary British Grenadiers were considered elite troops and were deployed in the fiercest engagements.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The unit bolsters armies for Black Powder Epic Battles - American War of Independence as an infantry formation on the Epic Battles scale. In the game, it takes on Line, Grenadier, Light Infantry, Skirmisher, and Dragoon roles.
