Product details

Background & context

The limber was the logistical backbone of every artillery unit of the Napoleonic era - it transported the cannon and ammunition chest across the battlefield, enabling rapid repositioning. The Prussian foot artillery played a crucial role in the Wars of Liberation and at Waterloo, especially in reinforcing Allied positions at decisive moments. Unlike the horse artillery, the foot artillery marched on foot alongside their guns - which limited their flexibility but allowed them to concentrate their impact on the enemy.

On the tabletop

Prussia's foot artillery marched alongside its guns, which were drawn on their limbers. This Warlord Resin model represents such a limber in 13.5 mm Black Powder games, and bases are included. Put it into a column of march when your battery changes position, or behind the guns of a brigade. For a scenario between Ligny and Waterloo, when Blücher's army had to cover long distances, it shows the artillery on the move.
