Product details

Background & context

The American Civil War was one of the bloodiest conflicts of the 19th century, dividing the United States into two hostile camps. The Confederate forces of the South produced a number of charismatic military leaders whose tactical skill and determination made them legends. Men like Lee, Jackson, and Stuart shaped entire campaigns and are still regarded today as defining figures in North American military history. Their leadership often decided victory or defeat on the battlefield and left a lasting impression on the collective memory of both sides.

On the tabletop

Lee, Jackson, Longstreet, Hood and Stuart lead your Confederate army in Epic Battles and Black Powder. Field Lee as commander-in-chief, Jackson and Longstreet as corps commanders, Hood at the head of an aggressive division and Stuart in front of your cavalry. That lets you refight the campaigns of the Army of Northern Virginia from 1862 to the surrender with their historical commanders, Gettysburg included. The figures are resin and easy to tell apart despite the small scale.
