Product details

Background & context

When Rift technology turned warfare upside down, the USA faced a choice: build a wonder weapon, or something the factories can turn out in series. The M8 Grizzly is the second answer. It holds no records in any category, but it is robust, maintainable and has a 75mm gun for which ammunition is available everywhere. It was exactly this down-to-earth quality that made it the standard machine of US formations and the pattern on which later designs were based, the British ones included. What its crews valued above all was that they could get it going again in the field themselves.

On the tabletop

In Konflikt '47 the M8 Grizzly is the standard walker of US forces and is also used by the Commonwealth. Its 75 mm gun was chosen for its good high-explosive round, which it uses against infantry in positions and buildings. The heavy .50 cal machine gun keeps infantry at bay. With its two powerful arms it clears obstacles in street fighting or smashes tanks that come too close. It works best advancing right alongside your infantry.
