Agincourt Foot Knights 1415-29 contains 17 flags; unit bases and information sheet. The included models are made of plastic and supplied as an unpainted tabletop kit. Fully armoured foot knights were the elite troops of all European armies in the late Middle Ages.

Background & context

Am 25. Oktober 1415 saßen bei Agincourt beide Seiten ab. Die französischen Männer-in-Waffen stapften in voller Plattenrüstung über einen frisch gepflügten, regennassen Acker auf die englische Linie zu und kamen in der Enge zwischen den Waldstücken kaum noch zum Schwertarm. Auch Heinrichs Ritter fochten zu Fuß, eingekeilt zwischen ihren Bogenschützen. Bis 1429 blieb der abgesessene Panzerreiter die Entscheidungswaffe des Hundertjährigen Kriegs.

On the tabletop

Dismounted knights and men-at-arms in full plate: 18 figures belong to the English side at Agincourt and 18 to the French, and both groups also serve for other Western European armies up to 1429. With sword, polearm or cut-down lance they are the heavy core troops that decide the melee. With the English they stand between the longbowmen; with the French they lead the advance across the open field.
