Product details

Background & context

The 43M Zrinyi II was based on the Turan tank chassis and designed as a Hungarian assault gun. Its design was inspired by the role of the German StuG and intended to support infantry with direct fire. With its 105mm howitzer, the vehicle could engage enemy positions and troop concentrations with high-explosive shells. In the context of the Bolt Action game, it is therefore primarily a mobile support weapon for Hungarian Armoured Platoons.

On the tabletop

The 43M Zrínyi II is the Hungarian counterpart to the German StuG: an assault gun on the Turan chassis with a 105 mm howitzer in a fixed superstructure. In Bolt Action it carries a medium howitzer and supports your infantry directly, shelling strongpoints and troops and pinning the enemy down. Long-range tank duels are not its job. It belongs in a Hungarian armoured platoon, and a stat card and order die are included.
