Product details

Background & context

Markets did not stop in wartime either. In occupied towns people went on trading, bartering and smuggling, often only a few steps from the nearest roadblock. It is exactly this coexistence of everyday life and front line that brings skirmish scenarios to life: a cart full of crates is cover, loot and the occasion for a firefight in the middle of town. Fish, vegetables and milk churns also date the scene to a time without a cold chain.

On the tabletop

These 90 small parts bring market squares and farmyards to life: hand carts, sacks, milk churns, crates of fish and vegetables, wash tubs and suitcases. Put a loaded cart in the village street as cover, or make it the loot a fight revolves around. Scatter the wash tubs and suitcases in back yards and by doorways so the place looks lived in. Every item comes twice, as the box holds two identical sprues.
