Product details

Background & context

Masonry enclosures shape every European townscape before 1945, around front gardens, churchyards, schools and back yards. In street fighting exactly this kind of wall became the first line of defence: men fired over the coping, knocked breaches in the brick and used the gate pillars as cover. For scenarios in France, Italy or East Prussia a brick wall is therefore not a decorative element but the reason an attack stalls.

On the tabletop

Six wall sections, eight pillars and two gates give you more than 57 cm of brick wall around a courtyard, churchyard or front garden. Run it straight or turn it at an angle, and build the iron gates with one or two leaves. In street fighting it forms the first line of defence in front of the houses: infantry fires over the top and the gate pillars offer extra cover. It fits European towns before 1945.
