    Product details

    Background & context

The People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN/NVA) was the regular army of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and was actively engaged in the South from the mid-1960s onwards. Unlike the Viet Cong guerrillas, the NVA operated as a conventional force - with uniform equipment, a clear command structure, and increasingly heavy weaponry. Equipped with Soviet and Chinese infantry weapons such as the Type 56 assault rifle and the RPG-7, it was a dangerous and well-trained adversary.

    On the tabletop

These 30 plastic figures give you a complete platoon of the North Vietnamese army for Vietnam War games. Most riflemen get the Type 56 or the SKS carbine, while you spread the RPG-7 and RPD across the squads as anti-tank weapon and machine gun. The command sprue provides a flag bearer and a bugler, plus the M1911A1 pistol and PRC-10 radio for the platoon command. A 25 mm base is included for every figure.
