    Product details

    Background & context

The Viet Cong were irregular guerrilla fighters who operated against American and South Vietnamese forces during the Vietnam War. These units were characterized by broad civilian participation - men and women fought side by side. Lightly armed with weapons like the RPG-7 and possessing a deep knowledge of the jungle terrain, they relied on ambushes, skirmishes, and night operations rather than open field battles.

    On the tabletop

With 32 fighters, men and women alike, you can field a whole Viet Cong unit including a command group. Small groups lie in wait in the undergrowth, open fire from ambush and then fall back into the terrain. The RPG-7 gives individual fighters a weapon against vehicles. Varied webbing and a free choice of weapons suit a force that fought with whatever was available, from village militia to main force units.
