    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The T-55 was developed from the T-54 in response to nuclear, biological, and chemical threats. Its design was completed in 1956; series production began on January 1, 1958, and the Red Army commissioned the T-55 on May 8. From 1961, the protection system was further developed, resulting in the T-55A, which featured radiation-proof lining and other equipment modifications. The T-54/55 family was produced in very large numbers and exported worldwide.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    In the game, the T-55 & T-55A (early production) MBT forms an armored combat unit for direct fire support and movement towards mission objectives. The tank can accompany infantry, engage enemy vehicles, and exert pressure on key terrain sections. In Bolt Action, it is a flexible building block for tank or combined battle groups.
