Product details

Background & context

Soviet tanks seldom travelled alone: infantry rode on the hull as tank desant, weapons and kit along with them. What a vehicle carried was correspondingly seldom sorted: shell crates next to rations, small arms next to tools. The snow sledge and two-man saw on this sprue say more about the Eastern Front winter than any tank statistic.

On the tabletop

Two frames of 79 parts each supply Soviet equipment that goes well beyond vehicle stowage. Ammunition boxes and shells from 76 to 122 mm load T-34s and lorries, while DP-27, Mosin-Nagant, PPSh-41 and the PTRD and PTRS anti-tank rifles add to infantry bases. Radios, signal flags, a snow sledge, a saw and wine crates go into positions and small scenes. Assemble with plastic cement.
