    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    In the Late Bronze Age, light chariots evolved into powerful combat vehicles with reinforced bodies made of animal hides and bronze scales. The so-called Maryannu - the warrior chariot elite - served in almost all major powers of the Near East, from Mitanni to Middle Assyria and Kassite Babylonia, and even the Syrian-Canaanite city-states. This Type III chariot, with its 6-spoked wheels and armored horses, represents the most advanced variant of this weapon system and was ubiquitous on the battlefields of the Levant and Mesopotamia.

    2-horse Light Chariot III is used in Hail Caesar as a chariot or wagon combat element for the Middle East in the historical context of the product. In the game, it combines movement, ranged or melee options, and psychological pressure on flanks or light troops. Chariot models should be interpreted as mobile support and scenario elements, not simply as normal cavalry.
