Product details

Background & context

Konflikt '47 simply carries the tank development of 1947 on further: the thicker Allied and Soviet armour became, the larger the calibre had to be. The Axis responded with a heavy version of the Pz.Kpfg. V whose turret could take the 150mm KwK 44, a calibre nobody in 1945 would have asked a real tank turret to carry. In parallel, Rift technology found its way into the Pz.Kpfg. III, which carries the rail gun as the Ausf.D and Ausf.E.

On the tabletop

As the Ausf.B of the Pz.Kpfg. V, the Wotan is the Axis tank hunter for difficult terrain in Konflikt '47. Its modified turret carries the 150 mm KwK 44, a super-heavy anti-tank gun against the ever thicker armour of the Allies and the Soviets. Position it so it can engage heavy tanks and walkers at long range, and screen it with lighter units. It fits into both the Axis Armoured Platoon and the Armoured Walker Platoon.
