Background & context

Konflikt '47 turns the clock to 1947 and lets the war run on after a Rift experiment has released technologies that should never have existed. On the German side the result is the Stahltruppe: a servo-driven armoured suit that protects a man as well as a tank of 1940 and still lets him walk. Only veterans with plenty of front-line experience are selected, because whoever is inside it is always out in front.

On the tabletop

In Konflikt '47 the Stahltruppen are the heaviest specialist infantry available to the Axis. Their armoured suits shrug off small arms fire, so you send them against heavily fortified positions to open the way for follow-up infantry. With StG 44Z and MG 42 the squad fights enemy infantry, while a single man carries the Panzerbüchse 41 like a rifle and turns it on vehicles. Different heads and leg poses make the nine figures look distinct.
