Background & context

Die Ursus sind das deutlichste Zeichen dafür, wie weit der Sowjetblock die Rift-Forschung treibt. Sowjetische Labore verbanden das Proletarische Hemotyp-Serum mit dem Erbgut des sibirischen Braunbären und schufen so eine Antwort auf die deutschen Schreckwulfen. Drugov ließ sich als einer der Ersten freiwillig umwandeln und behielt dabei seinen klaren Verstand, weshalb Achse und Alliierte gleichermaßen den Befehl haben, ihn um jeden Preis auszuschalten.

On the tabletop

Warlord hat das Paket als Armee mit rund 1.750 Punkten zusammengestellt, und die besteht fast vollständig aus Ursus. Die 30 Bären mit Klauen teilst du auf fünf Trupps zu je sechs auf, die sechs Ursus mit Mauls ergeben zwei weitere Trupps, deren schwere Hämmer auch gepanzerten Zielen gefährlich werden. Kommissar Gregor Drugov führt als Held mit der Kraft eines Ursus den Sturm an und gehört mitten ins Getümmel. Aus dem Gussrahmen Soviet Army Infantry baust du Zugführer, Beobachter oder ein Panzerbüchsen-Team. Fernkampf hat die Liste kaum: Du rennst über die Platte, suchst den Nahkampf und nimmst in Kauf, dass dein Gegner danach nicht mehr gegen dich spielen will.
